Team Lindsey Malc Founder / Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Lindsey Malc is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with 15 years of experience working with autistic kids and their families. A theme in Lindsey’s work has been addressing challenging behaviours. Lindsey is focused on empowering families to address the challenging behaviour of their children. She is devoted to working with the family team to improve the quality of life for both the child and the family. She believes that teaching the parents is one of the best ways to impact the child. When she’s not working Lindsey enjoys crocheting, reading and binge watching tv shows from the early 2000’s. Miriam Frolic Research and Content Development Specialist Miriam has a Masters in Legal Studies from Carleton University. She worked in commercial property management for a number of years before joining the Side by Side Therapy Toronto team as the Research and Content Development Specialist. Miriam enjoys learning and writing about behaviour analysis and has a special interest in Sensory Processing Disorder. Miriam lives in The Beaches with her husband, Dan, and two delicious children, Charlie and Julia. Tony Lipsey Psycho-Educational Assessments Tony has over 20 years experience working in education. He holds a Masters degree in Clinical and Child Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Education. Currently, Tony is the founder of Lipseylearn, a service dedicated to providing affordable psycho-educational assessments to students in the greater Toronto area. Tony has 4 married children of his own and 6 grandchildren. He lives in Toronto with his wife, Shayna, a social worker at the University of Toronto Medical program. Lauren Sugar BCBA Lauren Sugar is Board Certified Behaviour analyst (BCBA) with over 8 years of experience delivering ABA therapy to children with Autism and their families. She has experience working in clinical, home and school settings with children and youth. She is committed to working alongside other professionals to help create meaningful goals for her clients. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking and travelling. Caitlin Iaboni BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOUR ANALYST Caitlin is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst who has worked with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the field of behaviour analysis since 2013. She received a Master’s degree from Brock University in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Caitlin is passionate about using evidence-based practices to promote skill development, independence, and bring meaningful behaviour change that is functional and increases quality of life for her clients and their families. Her clinical interests include autism spectrum disorders, early intensive behavioural intervention, social and group readiness skills, communication, and caregiver and teacher training. In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys exploring the city, visiting parks, spending time with family, travelling, and dining on local cuisine. Salimah Halani BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOUR ANALYST Samantha Edwards Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Samantha is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with over 8 years of experience working with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Samantha has a variety of experience in the home, community, clinical and school settings. Samantha is passionate about creating goals that are socially significant for her clients and feels that parent involvement and working as a team is the key to achieving these goals. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys the outdoors, baking, and relaxing with her family. Jenny Vienneau BCBA Jenny Vienneau is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst with 6 years of experience working with children ages 3-18 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Jenny is an advocate for community engagement, and working together across disciplines to achieve a more accepting and supportive environment. She believes through ensuring family and caregiver collaboration we can better ensure each individual will learn the skills and knowledge they need to have the best quality of life. Jenny is a true homebody and enjoys crocheting, cooking and her two cats. Madison Bartley I am a dedicated, passionate individual who is eager to continuously learn and grow within the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Behavioural Science. I yearn to apply my education, experience, and skillsets to clients, with the goal that every unique person has the ability to reach their full potential. Tammy Lou Senior Therapist Tammy is a Senior Therapist at Side By Side Therapy. She has over 5 years of experience working with children and youth with complex challenges – in schools, homes, and community settings. Tammy is passionate about supporting clients to achieve their goals, and has a special interest in parent training and anxiety management. Tammy holds additional certifications in ESDM, CBT, and grief and trauma counselling. Tammy is completing her MPEd in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the University of Western Ontario, and working towards accreditation as a BCBA. When she’s not working, she loves baking, hiking and she’s learning MMA. Sahila Sandhu Senior Therapist Sahila is an experienced and dedicated Senior Therapist who has been working with children on the spectrum over the last several years. After graduating from the University of Waterloo, she obtained her Master of Education from the University of Toronto, and is currently working towards obtaining her BCBA certification. Over the years, Sahila has worked with children of all ages and has experience working in clinic, home, and community-based settings. In her free time, Sahila enjoys spending time with her dog and exploring new places. Suzette Henry SENIOR THERAPIST It’s the love of seeing improvements in children with Autism and other developmental disabilities that has kept Suzette in the field for over 20 years. She earned a Honours degree in Psychology from McMaster University. She is in the process of completing her certification to become a BCaBA. She holds additional qualifications in Verbal Behaviour and Pivotal Response Training. When not at work Suzette can be found in a gym teaching Zumba, BodyPump or BodyFlow. She adores her husband and children. Allison Jaeger Senior Therapist Allison received her post-graduate certification in Behaviour Technology after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Western University. She is currently working towards her BCaBA certification. Allison has several years of experience working with individuals with behavioural challenges and their families. She strongly believes that understanding human experiences builds a strong relationship with anyone she works with. Outside of ABA, Allison enjoys exploring new cuisines at local restaurants and spending the day at the beach. Theepa Jeyapalan Instructor Therapist Theepa has over 10 years of experience helping children with developmental disabilities. Her passion to help individuals with developmental disabilities lead her to become an Ontario Certified Teacher with a graduate certificate in Behavioural Science. She believes family involvement and an inclusive learning environment is crucial for individuals with development disabilities to achieve their learning goals. She enjoys going for walks and exploring new places with her two boys. Sammy Rubinoff Instructor Therapist Sammy is a graduate of George Brown College, with a Behavioural Science Technology advanced diploma. He spent several years volunteering with adults with developmental disabilities, which led him to his program at George Brown. During his time at George Brown, Sammy spent most of his time during his practicums, working with children with developmental disabilities. He enjoys helping others learn new skills and help them grow. Hunter Grillo Instructor Therapist Hunter has a Masters of Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Brock University and is currently pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Prior to graduate school, she completed a Bachelor’s in Child Studies at Carleton University. She is very passionate about working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and teaching them skills that could improve their quality of life and produce meaningful behaviour changes for them and their families. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and going for hikes. Niruba Rasuratnam Instructor Therapist Niruba Rasuratnam is a student in the Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies program at Brock University, working towards her certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. She is a recent graduate of Seneca College’s Autism and Behavioral Science program where she first started working as an Instructor Therapist. Prior to that she had earned a Bachelor of Science in the Honours Life Science program at McMaster University. She has several years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and is passionate about the science of behavior and applying it towards this population. Outside of school and work she loves going hiking and trying out different foods at new restaurants. Luciana Scheinbach Registered Behaviour Technician, Communication Disorders Assistant Luciana brings a wealth of experience to the Side by Side Therapy team. She has been working as a Registered Behaviour Technician for a number of years. Before she was married, Luciana was a Speech-Language Pathologist in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Luckily for us, her husband brought her to Canada and she found ABA. Luciana bridges her SLP skills with an excellent grasp of ABA to provide a communication focused program to all of her clients. When she’s not working, Luciana loves going on road trips with her family. She lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. Holly Clarke A passionate Instructor Therapist who is continuously learning and growing in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Rivka Caterina Neufeld Child and Youth Worker Rivka has over 14 years of experience working with children with special needs. She has worked as an Instructor Therapist and Respite Worker. She has a Child and Youth Worker advanced diploma and an Autism and Behavioural Science graduate certificate. She loves helping those around her develop their skills and grow. Rivka lives in Toronto and loves camping and exploring new places. Dana Dinsmore Instructor Therapist Dana is a graduate from Algonquin College with a certificate in Autism Behaviour Sciences. She also has another graduate certificate in Communicative Disorder Assistant from Durham College. For the past 2.5 years, she has worked at the Durham Catholic District School Board as an Educational Assistant. She has over 5 years experience working with children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities, in the school, home and therapy environment. She enjoys working with Augmentative Alternative Commutation (AAC), both low tech and high tech, to assist children with their communication. In her free time, Dana enjoys playing hockey, hiking and going on walks with her dog. Paul Kumal Instructor Therapist Paul is currently a teaching candidate attending the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. For the past 3 years, he worked at an ABA centre for children on the autism spectrum, providing 1:1 and group-based therapy, and also helped implement a pilot program for pre-teens to learn pre-vocational skills. He loves forming meaningful relationships with the children he works with and aims to help kiddos discover and showcase their personal strengths and unique abilities. In his free time Paul enjoys playing and watching sports, playing board games, and reading graphic novels. Nessie Abihsira Recreation Therapist Nessie has a passion for fun! She holds a degree in Recreation Therapy from Seneca College. She is devoted to ensuring that all children can grow and learn through play. Nessie has a number of years of experience working with children with special needs as a Rec Therapist, an ABA therapist and a classroom assistant. Nessie loves animals and has a pet rabbit named Einstein. Kerry Spellman RESPITE April Hodgson Respite April Hodgson is a Developmental Services Worker with 7 years of experience working with children living with disabilities. Working as a Respite Worker for many years has allowed her to expand her knowledge and experience. Being co-guardian for her nephew with special needs has made her a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities. Madona Hanna OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT Madona Hanna is an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) with over eight years of Rehabilitation experience in hospital, community and clinic settings. Madona received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from the University of Toronto in Health Science, Psychology and French. She then received her OTA and PTA Diploma from Centennial College. Madona is proficient and fluent in both French and English. She is a dedicated team player and very passionate about setting and achieving goals with clients and their family members. Madona enjoys working with children and her motivation is the ability to make a lasting impact. For leisure, Madona enjoys hiking, travelling, dancing and spending time with her family. Arielle Guber Speech-Language Pathologist Arielle Guber is a registered speech-language pathologist with over 11 years of experience working directly with children with special needs. Currently, Arielle works in both the private and public sectors. In addition, she holds Status-only appointment in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto, at the rank of lecturer. Arielle brings evidence based decision making and a commitment to client and family centred care to all of her activities. Arielle lives in Toronto with her husband and beautiful children. Leanne Arseneau Occupational Therapist Leanne possesses a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from The University of Guelph-Humber. With over 6 years of experience, Leanne has worked with children of all ages infant- to-teen with complex disabilities focusing on quality of life. She has focused her career on community OT including home and school therapy while also working in a clinic setting. Leanne thoroughly enjoys working with paediatric clients to assist them to develop their functional skills using functional activities, play skills and sensory experiences. In her leisure time, Leanne spends a lot of time with her family and stays active with sports and going to the gym. Sarah Chaudhery Occupational Therapist Sarah has a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University, and has 10+ years of experience working as a paediatric occupational therapist. She is passionate about helping kids achieve their best at home and school by developing fine motor, gross motor, feeding, sensory integration and emotional regulation skills. Sarah loves the variety that working in the community brings, and has experience working with clients aged 0 – 22 years. She has also worked at the teaching and programming level as well, providing webinars, courses and conference trainings about inclusion and accessibility, and developing inclusion programs for kids at camp. Sarah loves sports, and has competed internationally in rowing, as well as competing as a guide runner and tandem bicycle pilot. Shoshana Stein OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST Shoshana holds a degree as a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Shoshana is a self-directed, driven and compassionate clinician with several years of experience working with children with a diverse range of needs. Shoshana is thrilled to be bringing her positive, evidence-based approach to her role as an OT with Side by Side Therapy. Outside of work, Shoshana enjoys experimenting with new recipes and sharing them with family and friends.
